The Intelligent Frog

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Goblin was a frog that was very intelligent. He could discuss almost everything under the sun with such ease and facility. All frogs in the community turned to him whenever they had problems. He was envied and admired by all the frogs in their village. Because of the attention he was getting, he became boastful.

One day, he went to a nearby brook to take a bath and catch small insects to eat. He was enjoying the cool water of the brook that he didn’t notice he was going further and further away from their village. It was already getting dark when he realized that he lost his way.

No matter how much he tried he could not find his way home. Some frogs along the way asked him if he wanted help but he was too proud to admit that he lost his way. When he finally decided to seek help, there were no more frogs around because it was night

The Monkey Who Wanted To Swim

Sunday, October 12th, 2008

Once there was a monkey that could do so many things other animals could do. He could run fast, carry heavy loads, bark like a real dog and moan like a goat and many other things. He would always tell other animals that he is the most superior animal because he resembled a man.

One day, while he was walking near a river, two big ducks in the water challenged him to swim. He didn’t know how to swim but there were other animals that heard the challenged and prodded him to join the race in the water. He accepted the challenged and jumped at once into the water. But alas, the water was so deep that he drowned.
